Terms of Service

The deal between you and Cipta

Effective: June 15, 2026

These terms cover your use of Cipta, a per-dish restaurant feedback platform. They apply to restaurant operators who run a Cipta account and to diners who leave ratings. We tried to keep this short and in plain English. By using Cipta, you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who we are

Cipta is operated by Hermann Nike, a sole proprietor based in Texas, United States. The service is currently available in the Dallas-Fort Worth region as part of a pilot program. Questions about these terms? Reach us at support@getcipta.com.

What Cipta does

The restaurant places a Cipta QR code where diners can find it: on a table tent, a sticker on the to-go bag, the printed receipt, or by the register. A diner scans the code and takes a photo of their receipt. Cipta uses AI to read the receipt and build a list of the items they ordered, and the diner rates each one. The restaurant operator sees that feedback privately in their dashboard. Cipta does not integrate with your point-of-sale system and does not process any payments between diners and restaurants. We provide the feedback platform; we are not a party to any transaction at the restaurant.

Acceptable use

When you use Cipta, you agree not to:

Content and ratings

Text messages (SMS)

Some features send text messages: low-rating alerts to operators who turn them on, and manager follow-ups to diners who request them. By enabling those features or sharing a phone number, you consent to receive the related messages. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Our intellectual property

The Cipta name, logo, software, dashboard, and design are ours. These terms do not give you any right to use them beyond what is needed to use the service normally. We may use a restaurant's name to identify it within the product and, with permission, as a reference.

The service is provided as is

Cipta is offered on an as-is and as-available basis. During the pilot in particular, features may change, break, or be removed. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that the feedback will be error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cipta is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Cipta and close your account at any time. We can suspend or end an account that violates these terms, that we are required to act on by law, or if we discontinue the service. When an account closes, we handle the data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

When we materially change these terms, we update this page and bump the effective date at the top. Operators are notified by email. Continuing to use Cipta after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law gives you a right to bring it elsewhere.
